How many of you start your countdown to the weekend on a Monday? It’s the ‘start’ of the working week, everything to look forward to is from Friday afternoon onwards, and it’s a long slog to get there?
But why? Who determines when the week starts and ends, or if you need to ‘count’ in weeks at all. Admittedly I do, when publishing my free calendars to my subscribers, but do you know? I actually have a version of my calendars with no days, dates, or even months.
The answer to who determines when the working week starts is YOU. I have a PR friend who works best at 2am in the morning!
I work best on my public transport commutes and in the local coffee shop. I normally get more done in these time boxes, than I do sat in my home office.
So my 2 key takeaways today are:
1. Find your space
Office, coffee shop, bed. Bus, Train, Tenerife. The choice of space, unless you are face to face, (I would not suggest bed here!) is completely yours
2. Find your time
It’s doesn’t need to be scheduled, or the same all the time. Feel your freedom, or structure, or time box, or hybrid. Completely on you.
